01/08/2008 - PRESS SECRETARY REQUIRED

The BWAFL are looking for someone to take the role of Press Secretary for the 2008 / 09 season. Current secretary Paul Connolly has informed us that he has to step down from the role due to other commitments taking priority. This is an excellent opportunity to get more involved in the BWAFL and your chance to get your name in the papers too. If you are interested in having a go at this role then please contact League Secretary Joe Rooney on 0151 606 9935 or email league@bwafl.co.uk. The BWAFL would like to thank Paul for his fantastic work and commitment over the last few years and i'm sure teams will agree that his reports were always fair, honest and to a high standard.

21/07/2008 - FC VILLAGE CONFIRMED AS D2 RUNNERS UP

The BWAFL can now officially confirm FC Village as the Division 2 Runners Up for the 2007/08 season. FC Village had to wait patiently over the last 2 months as various appeals were launched which could have affected the final standings of the Division 2 table. However these appeals were not upheld and FC Village are officially recorded as the Division 2 Runners Up.

18/07/2008 - NO MORE FREE WEEK REQUESTS FOR 23rd OR 30th AUGUST

Clubs are asked to refrain from requesting free weeks on 23rd or 30th August 2008. We have received several requests already and will not be able to accomodate further requests for free weeks on these dates. The start date for the new season was announced in plenty of time so teams would be able to field sides on those dates. There will be no midweek games at the start of the season so league games must be played on the 23rd & 30th August. Teams who have already submitted requests for free weeks will be contacted directly within the next week after a decision has been made by the Management Committee as to whether your requests have been approved.

05/07/2008 - FIXTURES BY EMAIL SERVICE

Due to a technical fault I have lost all email addresses that had signed up for the email fixture service. Could anyone wishing to receive the fixtures by email please send an email using the lick on the right hand side so that i can compile a new mailing group? Thankyou.

01/07/2008 - SECRETARIES MEETING

There will be a secretaries meeting held on Monday 11th August 2008, 8:00pm at Our Ladies Parish Centre. ALL teams must be represented. Failure to have your team represented will result in a fine being issued.

01/07/2008 - SEASON TO KICK OFF ON 23.08.2008

The BWAFL 2008/09 season will officially kick off on Saturday 23rd August 2008. A full league program will be played on both the 23rd & 30th August.

15/06/2008 - CHESHIRE F.A. AFFILIATION DEADLINE

All teams are reminded that the deadline for obtaining your affiliation number from Cheshire FA is 01/07/2008. Any teams not obtaining their affiliation number before this date may have to pay a significant administration fee or may have their request refused by Cheshire FA. Teams not obtaining an affiliation number will not be permitted to compete in the BWAFL for the 08/09 season.
